Launch Marks Culmination of Year-Long Collaborative Effort by Industry Executives

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania | AIM, the trusted worldwide industry association for the automatic identification industry, providing unbiased information, educational resources and standards to providers and users of these technologies for nearly half a century, announced the launch of a new brand identity for the association and its affiliates around the world.

AIM's new brand features a logo comprised of bold new colors meant to highlight the diversity of the technologies and organizations that AIM represents globally.  The brand identity was created with the input of automatic identification and data capture executives from both U.S. and international markets who spent more than a year involved in a strategic initiative to foster new opportunities as well as enhance recognition, adoption and implementation of innovation within the industry.

Chuck Evanhoe, Chairman of the AIM Board of Directors, who initiated the association's latest strategic effort said, "The value of the AIM global community can be seen every day thanks to innovators and leaders who create the new technologies that improve lives and set the standards that others will follow.  AIM not only has a rich history, but an enduring commitment to the future as those innovations and technologies evolve in the future."

In addition to a new logo, AIM will introduce a new tagline -- Advancing Identification Matters -- as part of the launch.

"AIM is indebted to both the leaders who make up the AIM Board and the talented individuals who dedicated many hours of their time to achieve this outcome," said AIM Chief Operating Officer Mary Lou Bosco.  "We are all excited to launch this new branding effort, especially because it symbolizes the importance of our industry focus and connects every member within the global community of AIM."

The first major publication to feature AIM's new branding will be its annual Year in Review, expected to release before month's end.
