Genius Central Launches GCHQ at Expo East 2017

Genius Central Systems, Inc., a leading SaaS provider of supply chain services for retailers and their vendors, announces the launch of GCHQ, a new mobile search and source tool for natural products. Early access will be provided to existing Genius Central retail customers for user-driven feedback in an upcoming three-month pilot. The search and filter functions allow retailers entry into the most comprehensive product procurement database of over 300,000 active products, vendor sources for purchasing, item status, including price changes, deals with buy-in dates, newly added items, and discontinued status by U.S. warehouse.

Powered by SPINS® and IX-ONE® product content, including categories and attributes, GCHQ’s search and sourcing tool will provide better quality results by using industry standard product information. The underlying search algorithm has been overhauled and sharpened, focusing on the buyer’s searching preferences and regional distributor relationships. “We are committed to making search shine in our new mobile GCHQ platform. By listening to our retail customers' feedback, we will produce the most relevant search results. Our intention is to start strong and to iteratively improve the product,” remarked Frank Brooks, CTO for Genius Central. Additional features of the new GCHQ include an intuitive user interface and rapid delivery of search results.

The three-month pilot with participating retailers and their feedback will provide a solid foundation for the addition of ordering functionality, planned for later next year. The retail panel for the pilot will be limited to existing Genius Central retail customers who request participation and new retail customers who join the network before the end of September 2017. All participants will be able to provide feedback directly to the company’s product development team.

Genius Central’s release of its mobile headquarters is part of a two-year initiative to move popular functions, now housed in MyGeniusCentral.com, into a mobile responsive platform that will allow retailers to experience benefits on any device from anywhere. Next year, Genius Central will add local vendor and special order management functionality to the platform. “Retailers are hungry for mobile applications that will help them squeeze out unnecessary costs from their operations, allowing them to re-purpose their savings into people, merchandise, and store activities that will allow them to more effectively compete with the rapidly changing customer environment and online competition,” commented Linda Sheehan, Founder and COO of Genius Central. “We intend on working hand in hand with them to make sure our products deliver the function, performance and ROI they need in this hyper-competitive market.”
