Bedside Barcode Scanning Improves Hospital Pharmacy Inventory Tracking

Maury Regional Medical Center (MRMC), headquartered in Columbia, TN, has released a case study that culminated in remarkable results affecting both the pharmacy and the patients for which they serve. In addition, the TCGRx team was able to adjust the workflow processes, to maximize every inch of available space,” stated Binkley. Since implementation, Maury Regional has seen an overall carrying cost reduction of $645,325.00 over the last four years. 

With the ATP and Beacon systems in place, the case study shows that Maury Regional realized an immediate decrease in inventory, of 8%, and a 43.7% decrease over a 4-year period.
