Honda Joins AIM Board of Directors

Cranberry Township, PA – September 1, 2015 – AIM, the international industry association and recognized authority on innovation and technologies in automatic identification and data capture (AIDC), including barcode, RFID, RTLS, NFC and the Internet of Things (IoT), announced today the election of Marcos Honda as the South American Representative to the Board of Directors for AIM, Inc.

Mr. Honda has been Chief Executive Officer of ACURA Global, headquartered in São Paulo, Brazil, since 2002. With branch offices in La Palma, California, USA and Santiago, Chile, ACURA Global is a pioneer in the market of radio frequency identification (RFID), creating applications for commercial, utility and industrial sectors of the economy. For more than 20 years the company has successfully manufactured and implemented RFID technology in large scale applications, such as electronic toll systems, security, mining/steel, logistics, retail and industrial automation. As ACURA Global's CEO, Mr. Honda is responsible for all aspects of strategic, operational and business development.

Prior to joining ACURA Global, Mr. Honda built a career spanning more than 25 years and held management positions in several other organizations, including Diebold, IBM, Epson Surpriserv, TRIX and Global ID. His areas of expertise include RFID, near field communications (NFC), mobile devices and biometrics.

Mr. Honda holds degrees from both Fundação Getúlio Vargas and Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing and is fluent in more than three languages.
