Screen Shot 2015 01 12 at 12.54.36 PMORLANDO, FL – January 12, 2015 – Datamax-O’Neil, a global provider of industrial-grade label- and receipt-printing solutions, is pleased to announce the launch of its new RLe Series Portable Label Printer at the National Retail Federation (NRF) Show, which will continue through Jan. 13, 2015, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York, NY.

The retail environment is no place for ineffective and unreliable printers, which is why Datamax-O’Neil has included a number of enhanced features in the RLe Series’ design, including larger storable memory, longer 8-hour battery life, multiple language support and an optional multi-bay charger that accommodates a number of batteries simultaneously.

Compatible with Android and Windows® based devices the RLe Series is a perfect drop-in replacement for competitive models. Additionally, RLe printers offer flexibility in wireless communication with a dual 803.11a/b/g/n and Bluetooth radio that adheres to a wide range of network security protocols. RLe Series printers are an easy-to-integrate solution using open architecture configuration software and a variety of Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms that allow the RLe to be tailored to your particular retail environment.

MDM service tools that the RLe Series printers can take advantage of include Infinite Skyz Mobile Device Manager that provides connectivity and configuration management over a Bluetooth® connection. Also, D-O Mobile Print, developed by QualSoft Software Consultants, and available on Google Play, allows users to print

from many different applications from a single software solution. D-O Mobile Print allows users to navigate to websites and print using the application’s web browser. In this application, the print data is transferred via Bluetooth®, 802.11 or USB. D-O Mobile Print also provides users with the ability to take and print images from camera phones, as well as access Google Maps.

This combination of ruggedness, operational flexibility and cutting-edge technology results in a portable thermal printer that possesses the ability to operate in challenging front- and back-end retail environments. The RLe Series can replace a wide variety of competitive models while delivering the next-generation technology that is demanded in order to satisfy constantly changing operational or security protocols.

Standard features on the RLe Series printers include quick, accurate printing; large-capacity media roll; compliance with MIL-STD 810F drop tests; dual-wall construction for printhead and platen protection; integrated sub-structure for circuit-board protection; lightweight die-cast magnesium latches; recessed LCD screen and buttons; standard two-year warranty; and a full array of available accessories.
