Xterprise’s Clarity™ Suite to Power SML Global RFID Technology and Innovation Centers

Carrollton, TX (PRWEB) March 11, 2014

Xterprise[1], the Texas-based item-level RFID solutions provider known for its Clarity™ Item-Level RFID applications, has announced that its software will power all of SML Group’s RFID Technology and Innovation Centers[2], including the recently opened center in Corby, UK, where Clarity Inventory™ and Clarity ARS™ are already deployed. The centers are designed to serve the dual purpose of allowing SML Group to design and develop new innovations for RFID tagging applications, software, and solutions, while also enabling customers to get a hands-on understanding of Xterprise products, their ease of use, and the value they create for customers.

According to SML UK General Manager Shane Clarke, customers and prospective clients are being encouraged to take advantage of the centers for demonstrative purposes or to utilize SML Group’s state-of-the-art technology to test their unique product and solution configurations that make use of Xterprise’s Clarity™ software and SML tags. Said Mr. Clarke, “We’ve had numerous brand owners and retailers visit the UK Corby center, and without exception they have come away impressed by the level of innovation demonstrated in the Technology Center as a whole and the practical functionality and usability of Clarity™ in particular.”

In addition to the Corby location, which opened December 12 of last year, SML plans to open two additional RFID Technology and Innovation Centers in 2014, including one in North Carolina, USA and another at SML World Headquarters in Hong Kong.

The RFID Technology and Innovation Centers will feature sleek and modern store mockups complete with thousands of RFID-enabled retail items for demonstrating various applications available to both Retail and Supply Chain Operations through the Clarity™[3] suite. Handheld readers, POS terminals and back stock workstations running Clarity™ software will also be available, and can be used to demonstrate cycle counting, replenishment, transfers, receiving, carton auditing and numerous other inventory management functions. SML Group plans to offer its RFID Training Academy at these centers, to educate customers on the latest RFID best practices and innovations, and give them hands-on experience using Clarity™ technology in order to make solution deployments more efficient.

When SML Group acquired Xterprise in June of 2013, it was with the intent of obtaining one of the most highly-regarded item-level RFID application suites on the market: Clarity™. With the announcement of its Global RFID Technology and Innovation Centers and the use of Clarity™ software to power the centers’ solutions, SML Group is taking another step in implementing its strategy to become the world’s leading full-suite item-level RFID solution provider.
