Wireless Barcode Scanner Offers Low-Cost Alternative to Bluetooth

Designed to give users an alternative to Bluetooth devices, the handheld wireless scanners use proven radio-frequency (RF) technology, like that found in a wireless keyboard or computer mouse.
Easy to set up and use, the scanners read and transmit electronic barcode using a USB dongle at distances up to 33 feet. Like Bluetooth devices, the Unitech wireless scanners operate at 2.4 GHz. The MS840P offers fast, accurate reading of standard 1D barcodes, while the MS842P also reads 2D codes and codes from LCD screens. The RF system provides a security edge over Bluetooth, and both scanners are built to withstand rugged use. A 'Buffer Mode' also stores data during out-of-range scanning, preventing data loss and improving productivity.
