DecisionPoint Systems Acquires Royce Digital Systems - Expanding its Reach into Healthcare

Acquisition complements DecisionPoint’s service & solution portfolio, extends the Professional Services team and provides added support across Northern and Southern California

IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--DecisionPoint™ Systems, Inc. (Other OTCBB DPSI), a leading provider and integrator of enterprise mobility and wireless applications solutions, announced today that it has acquired Royce Digital Systems, (Royce) a privately held company with corporate headquarters in Irvine, CA. DecisionPoint has acquired Royce to better serve customers, deepen its expertise in other vertical markets, specifically healthcare, and provide a stronger regional presence across California to better service customers in that area. 

Today’s acquisition will add additional expertise to DecisionPoint’s mobile and wireless offerings to include Royce’s expertise in printers, consumables and infectious control offerings; and, these broader service offerings will also open the door to subscription-based recurring services revenue opportunities for the future. The strong professional services organizations from both companies will provide customers with unprecedented installation, deployment and break-fix support, and broaden DecisionPoint’s vertical focus to include healthcare in addition to retail, logistics and other traditional enterprise mobility markets.

In addition, acquiring Royce supports the strategy of one of DecisionPoint’s primary OEM’s, Zebra Technologies as the company continues to increase its focus on supporting and selling into the healthcare industry.
