It's important to remember that one end of the food logistics supply chain is always a consumer.

Food Logistics, the only publication exclusively dedicated to covering the movement of product through the global food supply chain, has named Adrian Parkhideh to its 2018 Food Logistics Champions: Rock Stars of the Supply Chain award.

The award recognizes influential individuals in our industry whose achievements, hard work, and vision have shaped and attained milestones in safety, efficiency, productivity and innovation through the global food supply chain. From early pioneers and entrepreneurs to non-conformist thinkers and executive standouts, this award aims to honor these leaders and their contributions to our industry.

In being recognized by Food Logistics for this award, Adrian’s contribution reflects his eight years of experience working with shipper companies in the food & beverage space - Ryder Supply Chain for Dr. Pepper Snapple and PepsiCo on both the beverage and Frito-Lay side of the business. As Senior Director of Customer Strategy for 10-4 Systems, Adrian draws on this background working with food-focused companies to merge supply chain concerns with his acute customer-centric sensibility. He has especially focused on reducing operational costs while keeping up food safety levels. He embraces technology to help solve problems in the food and beverage industry due to growing demands from the government and the changing expectations of customers.

In 2017, Adrian worked with one of the largest U.S. quick service restaurants to help them embrace supply chain technology that allows them to drive value back into the organization internally, creating work/life balance and alignment with the company’s core principles. For Adrian, it’s more about helping companies make sure their employees can get home in time for the things that matter to them outside of work.

Adrian also worked closely in 2017 with a global food and beverage maker to achieve several food safety transportation challenges including aligning supply chain visibility technology to the company’s specific standards for temperature tracking, temperature alerts, and FSMA compliance. Adrian’s focus on synchronizing diverse elements from the business, technology, planning, and human concerns allowed him to help the company align their business needs with their purpose-driven agenda for healthful, safe food and beverage products.

“It’s rewarding to be recognized by Food Logistics for this award,” says Adrian. “For me, it’s important to remember that one end of the food logistics supply chain is always a consumer. At the end of the day, successful food logistics has to be about customer service, food safety, and preserving the integrity of the food producer.”

“This year’s recipients of the Food Logistics Champions: Rock Stars of the Supply Chain award reflect the changing demographics, talent and expertise in our industry,” notes Lara L. Sowinski. “At this same time, these changes usher in new perspectives and energy to an industry that is equally diverse and dynamic.”

Recipients of this year’s 2018 Food Logistics Champions: Rock Stars of the Supply Chain award will be profiled in the March 2018 issue of Food Logistics, as well as online at http://www.foodlogistics.com.
