Marco Purchases Michigan-Based Governor Business Solutions; Continues National Expansion
“Our acquisition strategy is to buy similar companies in locations where Marco doesn’t already have a presence,” said Marco CEO Jeff Gau. “Governor was a perfect fit with their excellent reputation and long-term customer relationships in the Michigan market.”
DETROIT (PRWEB) March 14, 2018
Marco, a leading technology services provider in the United States, announced today that it has purchased Governor Business Solutions. Founded more than 39 years ago and recently awarded HP’s “U.S. Print Hardware Reseller of the Year,” Governor is a leading Managed Print Services (MPS), wide format, copier, barcode and A/V solution provider in Michigan.
The company will continue to operate as Governor Business Solutions for a short time. Its employees have joined Marco’s team and will be serving clients from their current headquarters in Dearborn, MI.
This purchase allows Marco to further expand its geographic footprint nationally and provide technical services in the state of Michigan. This is the 11th acquisition that the company has completed over the past two years.
“Our acquisition strategy is to buy similar companies in locations where Marco doesn’t already have a presence,” said Marco CEO Jeff Gau. “Governor was a perfect fit with their excellent reputation and long-term customer relationships in the Michigan market.”
Marco has 1,160 employees and serves more than 32,000 customers from its 49 locations throughout the Midwest and nationally.
“We are excited to join the Marco team,” said Bill Cullinan, President of Governor Business Solutions. “Our business cultures are very similar, and we are extremely excited about the future growth opportunities in Michigan with this investment from Marco.”
