SMARTRAC’s CEO Steps Down

 

Amsterdam (The Netherlands), 25 November 2014 – SMARTRAC’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chairman of the Management Board, Clemens Joos, has decided to resign from his position with immediate effect.

The Supervisory Board has appointed Christian Uhl, currently the company’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO), as CEO and Chairman of the Management Board with immediate effect. Christian Uhl will retain the position of CFO until a replacement is appointed.

“Clemens Joos has played an important role in reshaping the company since he joined us,” said Lee Gardner, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of SMARTRAC. “The Supervisory Board would like to express its sincere gratitude to and high regard for Clemens Joos, and wishes him all the very best in his future endeavors.”

Having worked with Christian for the past several years, the Supervisory Board has the utmost confidence in his ability to lead the company forward successfully, and looks forward to working with him as CEO”, said Gardner.

Christian Uhl joined the company in May 2006 as Director Corporate Accounting, Controlling and Finance, before becoming Chief Financial Officer in 2008. Prior to joining SMARTRAC, he was a Principal of Roland Berger Strategy Consultants’ Competence Centre for Restructuring and Corporate Finance. Christian Uhl holds a degree in business administration from the University of Bayreuth, Germany.
