Austin, Texas - June 16, 2014 -- RF Code, the leader in real time asset management and integrated sensor networks, today announced the appointment of Ed Healy as its new CEO. Healy brings over thirty years of senior leadership experience in accelerating the growth of market leading technology companies. Most recently, Healy served as, and remains, the Senior Advisor to the Chairman of MediaTek.

Healy’s background in establishing and growing successful companies is ideally suited to RF Code’s current position.

“Now is the perfect opportunity to build on RF Code’s success to date. By building the scalability required to meet the demands of global enterprises, which are becoming more dependent on Big Data analysis, analytical knowledge and sensor networks, we will be strongly positioned to meet the needs of an increasingly data-driven world. I am looking forward to the future of RF Code as it becomes the information hub driving key management and strategic decisions,” said Healy.

RF Code is now the market-share leader in environmental sensors and asset tracking hardware and software for the world’s largest IT-dependent financial services companies, global banks, technology vendors, outsourced IT providers and global telecommunications carriers. RF Code is also leading the transformation of the healthcare and industrial sectors with its specialist solutions.

Mitch Medford, RF Code’s current CEO, is stepping aside to pursue personal business opportunities, but will continue to provide advisory support. He said, “This is an exciting step in RF Code’s growth strategy. We drove the business to a profitable level with marquee enterprise customers, but to continue to the next level, we needed a seasoned veteran like Ed who has built major businesses.  I am excited to see the growth and expansion he will bring to the company.”

RF Code’s Board acknowledged both the job done by Medford, but also the need to bring in a seasoned CEO to guide the company’s advance towards becoming the critical component in an Internet of Things dictated world.

Moshe Azoulay, President of Skyrise Properties, and RF Code’s Chairman and majority owner said, “With the appointment of Mr. Healy, we have invested in accelerating RF Code’s growth, operational strength and the solutions required to remain a leader in the market. We look forward to working with him to implement the strategies that have underpinned his past successes.”

Healy’s previous experience includes senior management roles at a range of high-growth technology companies, including Acertus Technologies, Cubic Wafer, Silicon Labs and Cirrus Logic. His success is best highlighted by his role at Silicon Labs where he started the company’s Wireless Business Group growing it to over $250 million in revenues and a global workforce in excess of 150.

Healy is a holder of several patents and has a BS degree from West Point, MSEE from Georgia Institute of Technology, MBA from Santa Clara University and Masters in Management from Stanford University.
