Smartrac At #RFIDLive: Showcasing Solutions for a Smarter Internet of Things
Amsterdam (The Netherlands), May 9, 2017 – RFID technology holds the key to a smarter Internet of Things. That’s the key message from SMARTRAC at RFID Journal Live! 2017 in Phoenix, Arizona, May 9-11, 2017. At booth no. 622, the RFID and IoT pacesetter will present its latest innovations, in particular its passive sensing RAIN RFID inlays Sensor Tadpole and Sensor Temperature DogBone, as well as its innovative ‘Proofs’ solution, which is set to increase customer loyalty and minimize counterfeiting.
At the trade show, Smartrac invites system integrators, converters and end users to discover ‘Solutions for a Smarter Internet of Things”, the motto the company has chosen for its appearance in Phoenix.
Enabling brand product manufacturers to deliver secured and exclusive content to their consumers
First shown at RFID Journal Live! 2017, Proofs is serving as a bright example for what a smart combination of RFID and IoT technologies can do. By embedding a Proofs-empowered NFC tag into a physical product, customers can now turn their products into a media hub and easily deliver secure and exclusive mobile content to consumers. Moreover, Proofs is a powerful tool to help verify product authenticity and minimize counterfeiting. Leveraging Smartrac’s latest, purpose-built NFC tags, equipped with NXP® Semiconductor’s NTAG® 413 DNA chip, and its enablement platform Smart Cosmos, Proofs perfectly complements the company’s Experiences solution.
Passive RAIN RFID temperature and moisture sensing for industrial and supply-chain management applications
Besides Proofs, Smartrac is showcasing its innovative passive RAIN RFID sensor family, such as Sensor Temperature DogBone and Sensor Tadpole, the first-ever passive water sensor tag that works on metal surfaces like the harsh environment of an automobile chassis. The passive temperature-sensing inlay Sensor Temperature DogBone enables gapless temperature monitoring at package or item level, ensuring unbroken cold chains in pharmaceutical and food industries at an affordable price. The sensor family is equipped with the latest RFMicron Magnus® chips, to create passive UHF single-chip sensor solutions offering cost-efficiency and hassle-free implementation.
Hard tags for diverse manufacturing processes
Smartrac’s presence at RFID Journal Live! 2017 Live is rounded off by the latest additions to its rugged hard tag RFID portfolio designed for diverse manufacturing processes, especially with regard to the Industrial Internet of Things, aka Industry 4.0.
“The Internet of Things is a reality, and our innovative solutions are actively shaping it and actually making it smarter – that is Smartrac’s message at RFID Journal Live! 2017. At Phoenix, we are for the very first time presenting our Proofs solution, which is – pun intended – an impressive proof of that message. In addition, we are showcasing products that underline our continuing ability to innovate and give impetus to the RFID industry”, says Ted Danhauser, Vice President Sales Americas, at Smartrac.
