DENSO Products and Services Americas Announces New Senior Vice President of OES Sales

― Veteran DENSO executive Norihito “Jack” Tanahashi named to new post ―

LONG BEACH, Calif. – DENSO Products and Services Americas, Inc., an affiliate of leading global automotive supplier DENSO Corp., has named Norihito “Jack” Tanahashi as senior vice president of Original Equipment Supplier (OES) Sales. Tanahashioversees DENSO Products and Services Americas sales of DENSO original equipment (OE) products to all the major automakers.

Addition of the high-level position reflects the ongoing growth of DENSO Products and Services Americas in more markets across the two continents. It is also the latest chapter in Tanahashi’s rise over nearly 30 years in DENSO sales operations. 

Tanahashi joined DENSO in 1988 after graduating from Doshisha University Law School in Kyoto. He started in the Hiroshima branch in aftermarket sales before moving into OE sales, supplying Mazda vehicles with DENSO automotive parts. 

In 1995, Tanahashi began a series of overseas assignments supplying new Toyota vehicles with DENSO OE automotive parts. He transferred to DENSO Europe where he was posted first in the U.K., then in Amsterdam. In 2000, he established DENSO’s Toyota sales office in Brussels.

In 2006, Tanahashi returned to Japan to serve as general manager of Toyota sales at DENSO corporate headquarters. In 2010, he was promoted to president of DENSO Sales Australia and later vice president of DENSO Australia. Prior to joining DENSO Products and Services Americas, he was general manager of DENSO OE sales for Mitsubishi.

Tanahashi became senior vice president of OES Sales at DENSO Products and Services Americas in January. He works out of the company’s new office in Plano, Texas, as well as its headquarters in Long Beach, Calif.
