People Power Debuts Ensemble IoT Software Suite at #CES2016

LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwired - Jan 5, 2016) - At the 2016 International Consumer Electronics Show, People Power[1], a services enablement company providing apps, cloud and mobile services for the Internet of Things (IoT), announced Ensemble, its complete software solution for the Internet of Things (IoT) made up of Maestro, Presto, Symphony and Virtuoso. The Ensemble suite empowers service providers to create IoT products with the benefits everyone cares about -- convenience, security and care. Maestro and Presto are two new products featured in the Ensemble, which give service providers and manufacturers the opportunity to generate additional revenues through white-label branded home and building services. In addition, the Symphony cloud server features a new mobile rules engine that performs up to 10 times faster, and the Virtuoso white-label app framework now allows service providers to offer compelling apps and services under their own brand name.

Maestro is a completely revamped command center that goes far beyond simply managing connections and devices. The comprehensive service is a management essential that includes an Operations Support System (OSS) and a Business Support System (BSS), and can integrate with service providers' existing OSS and BSS systems. Maestro serves as the central place for administrators to sign up users to new services, generate reports, capture alerts, manage Tier-1 technical support, communicate and engage with users, offer in-app store deals and more.

Presto, another critical component of People Power's IoT software suite, is one of the fastest and easiest ways to connect to the Internet of Things today. Presto is free for any device manufacturer to add Internet connectivity to production-ready devices. The connectivity software can be used to enhance developers' own platforms or can be integrated with devices connected through existing frameworks and protocols. Presto's open APIs, open source SDKs and developer console removes all barriers for manufacturers to Internet-enable products, without paying per-device or data usage fees. Once connected, manufacturers can either create their own apps and websites using People Power's open Application APIs, or they can brand People Power's Virtuoso mobile app framework as their own for the fastest time-to-market.

"The free Presto product enables Changhong to offer breakthrough prices for innovative products like the BLUEGUARD-E[2] smart lock solution," said Jiantao Pan, CEO of Changhong Research Labs[3]. "We applaud People Power's bold move in lowering the cost of IoT solutions for the mainstream".

"People Power pioneered the first consumer freemium model for the Internet of Things with our Presence app, which turns old smart phones in to free security cameras. With the launch of Presto, we are extending this freemium business model for IoT, to manufacturers and service providers everywhere," said David Moss, President and CTO of People Power. "We also realized that our customers needed management tools to support large deployments, which led us to creating Maestro, the most powerful command center for IoT services."

"In-O-Vate needed a powerful solution to connect and manage our Wi-Fi connected products," said Rick Harpenau, CEO of In-O-Vate Technologies[4]. "People Power's Presto connectivity software was the most cost effective solution to cloud-enable our newest products, and the new Maestro command center is exactly what our distribution partners need to manage users and upsell services."
