Automating The Supply Chain for Firearms Dealers - Celerant and Lipsey's
Celerant’s ATF-compliant retail software and integration with Lipsey’s makes it easy for firearm dealers to automate store replenishment and drop ship accessory web orders
Staten Island, NY (October 24, 2018) – Celerant Technology, a leading provider of innovative retail solutions for the firearms industry, and Lipsey's, one of the largest independently-owned wholesale firearms distributors in the country, jointly announce a strategic partnership to help firearms dealers streamline inventory and improve fulfillment. Through Celerant’s integration with Lipsey’s, firearms dealers can import products, automatically reorder inventory, display inventory online and leverage Lipsey’s drop shipping services.
Keeping shelves stocked with the products customers want
Celerant offers two retail solutions for the firearms industry- Stratus Retail for larger dealers, and Cumulus Retail for the smaller dealers. With these solutions, retailers can manage their store, website, range and ATF compliance- all in a single platform. From within the point of sale software, firearms dealers can easily access and browse Lipsey’s product catalog, and import the products they want to sell in-store, eliminating the need to manually enter products into the retail system. Dealers can also reorder inventory with automated purchases orders based on predefined min/max levels, ensuring they have the right products and on-hand quantities throughout the year. Lipsey’s catalog of over 8,500 products focuses on firearms, the heart of every dealer’s inventory, and their industry leading exclusive firearms create excitement and generate revenue for their dealers.
Displaying a wide-variety of products online with drop shipping
Through live, online ‘data feeds’, Lipsey’s current accessory stock levels can be automatically reflected on Celerant’s E-Commerce platforms, iStratus and iCumulus, along with product data, images and descriptions. With minimal effort, dealers can then sell many more products on their websites than they carry in-store. When an order is placed on a dealer’s website, Lipsey’s is automatically alerted and drop ships the order from their warehouse directly to the dealer’s customer along with a custom packing slip and shipping label. That way, dealers can display and sell Lipsey’s merchandise online, without investing in, or stocking, any inventory.
“We believe our partnership with Celerant provides dealers with the tools and technology needed to excel in today’s marketplace.” stated Aaron Keating, CIO of Lipsey’s. “Our joint partnership provides Lipsey’s dealers, both large and small, with the inventory, technology and superior customer service they need to be successful. We are excited to introduce Celerant to our dealers looking for a powerful, yet user-friendly, retail solution.”
“Our goal has always been to help firearm retailers streamline their operations and comply with the ATF,” said Ian Goldman, CEO of Celerant Technology. “Through our partnership with Lipsey’s combined with an integrated digital Form 4473 and bound book, FFL dealers will find it easier than ever to grow their business. With our continued investment in the firearms industry with partners such as Lipsey’s, dealers can rest assure that they will be supported now and in the future.”
