BellHawk Offers Seminar On Warehouse Strategy & Upgrades Packing Modules for ERP/Ecommerce

BellHawk Systems is pleased to announce an upgrade to its Pick module to prevent mistakes in picking and packing orders. Pick now includes three transactions that are based on the automated generation of Picking Orders from Ship Orders. These ship orders may be entered directly into BellHawk, or imported from an ERP or accounting system, or sent to BellHawk from an E-Commerce system:

  • Pick - generates a barcoded picking sheet from the Pick order - used for picking pallets, skids, cartons and large assemblies to a staging area, or live loading these onto trucks/trailers. Checks that the correct materials are being picked for the customer order and, optionally, are being loaded onto the correct truck/trailer.
  • Zone Picking - used for picking small parts into totes for subsequent packing or directly into shipping cartons. The picker is directed to a sequence of zones in the warehouse from which they are directed to efficiently pick the order. Does extensive error checking to ensure that the correct parts are picked for each order.
  • Packing - records the packing of multiple cartons onto a pallet, assemblies into shipping crates, and/or the packing of picked materials into cartons. Checks that all the packed materials are for the same customer. Optionally can also print out tracking and shipping labels to go onto the cartons, shipping containers, or pallets.
