MultiTech’s Developer Kit Used by Twilio for Connected Fleet Monitoring Blueprint
Multi-Tech Systems, Inc., a leading global manufacturer of M2M and IoT devices, today announced that its MultiTech Developer kit, comprised of its award-winning MultiConnect® Dragonfly™ and customized development board, will be used in the Twilio-powered Fleet Tracker blueprint for fleet monitoring. Twilio Inc. (NYSE: TWLO) is the leading cloud communications platform for building communications applications for global scale.
Twilio has developed a series of IoT blueprints to guide developers in building prototypes of popular IoT use cases. Fleet Tracker is the first in the series and provides vehicle fleet managers with critical information relating to driver performance and data. Such information includes:
- Miles driven
- Hour of usage
- Location information
- Average speed
- Average acceleration rate / driver aggressiveness
- Fuel consumption

The MultiConnect Dragonfly embedded cellular SoM's are fully industry certified and MNO approved, ready-to-integrate modules that offer developers the functionality of a programmable computing platform with the convenience of an onboard cellular radio all in one compact design. With its integrated Cortex®-M4 processor and ARM mbed OS programming platform, developers can host their application and have access to a full suite of interfaces for connecting sensors or other remote assets.
