Port Logistics Group Appoints New Senior Vice President of West Coast Operations
LOS ANGELES, Feb. 7, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Port Logistics Group, the nation's leading provider of omnichannel logistics services, today announced the appointment of Ruben Morales as Senior Vice President of West Coast Operations. Morales brings more than 20 years of operational experience with ecommerce fulfillment and omnichannel distribution acquired during his roles at Toys "R" Us, Office Depot, and other retail, wholesale and logistics companies. Morales will report directly to Robert Stull, Chief Executive Officer of Port Logistics Group.
Morales will be based at the company's City of Industry, CA headquarters location and will be responsible for all West Coast gateway locations, including 3.7 million square feet of dedicated and multi-client warehouse space and regional trucking operations in Southern CA, and 600,000 square feet of warehousing and transportation operations at the Seattle/Tacoma gateway.
Most recently Morales was the Executive Director – Western U.S. Ecommerce Fulfillment & Retail Distribution Operations of Toys "R" Us and was responsible for 6 Regional Distribution Centers that process ecommerce orders and retail replenishment. He was also responsible for apparel and hard-line global 3PL import operations.
Prior to joining Toys "R" Us, Morales served as Senior Director – Supply Chain Operations at Office Depot where he managed Office Depot's Northern California supply chain operations, including B2B distribution and transportation, retail replenishment, and ecommerce fulfillment.
