Oracle JavaOne SF 2015 Schedule and Keynote Lineup, Intel, IBM

JavaOne2015[2] will take place October 25-29, 2015 at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square and Parc 55 San Francisco. Java serves as the critical backbone of software solutions that touch both our professional and personal lives. From modernization in enterprise big data, cloud, and the Internet of Things, Java continues to help drive developer innovation, revolutionize application development, and improve enterprise services.

The opening Java keynote[3] by Oracle, as well as the Intel keynote begin Sunday, October 25 at the Moscone North Hall D and the community and IBM keynotes will be held on Thursday, October 29 at the Marriott Marquis, Salon 7/8/9. JavaOne 2015 includes more than 400 technical sessions and more than 60 exhibitors. The conference is organized into eight learning tracks, which include 1) Core Java Platform, 2) Java and Security, 3) Emerging Languages, 4) Java, DevOps and the Cloud, 5) Java and the Internet of Things, 6) Java and Server-Side Development, 7) Java Clients and User Interfaces, and 8) Java Development Tools and Agile Techniques.

The JavaOne Exhibition Hall is located in the Hilton San Francisco Union Square Grand Ballroom and gives conference attendees the opportunity to see hands-on demos of technologies and enterprise solutions spanning the Java ecosystem. The Java Hub will showcase the Geek Bar, the MakerZone, and the Oracle Technology Network Community Café.

In celebration of 20 years of innovation, attendees will see a unique and interactive twenty year display that focuses on the past, present and future of Java at the Parc 55. Additionally, a three-dimensional mosaic will be created from thousands of individual attendee photos uploaded during JavaOne by attendees via computer or mobile device.

JavaOne4Kids[4] sponsored by Oracle Academy, Target and Devoxx4Kids, takes place Saturday, October 24, 2015 and is offered for children 10 to 18 years old. In collaboration with Oracle Academy and Devoxx4Kids, this event has sessions that include several topics like Greenfoot, Alice, Minecraft modding, Java, Scratch, Raspberry Pi and Arduino development boards, programmable robotic devices, and others. Hania Guiagoussou, a passionate and award winning Java developer[5] who is a high school student will open this event.

The 13th annual Duke's Choice Award[6] ceremony will take place Tuesday, October 27th at 7:30 PM in the Duke's Cafe located on Taylor Street between O'Farrell and Ellis (adjacent to San Francisco Hilton hotel). For over a decade, Duke's Choice Award[7] winners have been announced at JavaOne where the award celebrates extreme innovation in the developer ecosystem on using Java technology.

The ongoing modernization and value of Java continues to help modernize the world in which we live. From smart devices to complex enterprise solutions, Java offers developers an open, standards-based, community-driven platform to create the next generation of rich, scalable, and secure applications. This year's opening Java keynote will celebrate the Java 20th anniversary by reflecting on past technology investments, highlighting current technical insights and innovations, and showcasing future direction and roadmaps. Java engineering executives from Oracle and industry luminaries will explain ways developers can continue creating the future with Java. Keynote presenters include:

Java Community Keynote -- The Java Community keynote celebrates the thriving global ecosystem of Java developers and enthusiasts, including more than 315 Java User Groups. The Java community's passion is an inspiration to all developers and is one of the most important elements of creating the future with Java. Keynote presenters include:

Duimovich will cover "Cask Strength Java, Aged 20 Years."
