Barcode Basics
Learn which GS1 Barcodes to use for your products or cases
Are you looking to further your knowledge and acquire additional information on barcodes? Do you need clarification on which barcodes will suit your specific business desires? Getting a barcode for your products starts with something we call the GS1 Company Prefix. It forms the base for creating all identification numbers of the GS1 System of Standards, one of which is the Global Trade Item Number, or GTIN.
This webinar will start with an understanding of the GS1 Company Prefix in order to build GTINs. You’ll also get an overview of:
- Company Prefix – GS1 and U.P.C (what’s the difference / why both)
- EAN/UPC features including: encodes only the GTIN, used at Point of Sale, omnidirectional readable
- ITF-14 features including: encodes only GTIN in 14 digit format, uses bearer bars, printed on corrugate
- GTIN Basics (cover GTIN-12 for EAN/UPC and GTIN-14 for ITF-14) including the structure of each
- 30-minute Q&A
