Digi-Key's Annual Global Business Development Meeting Featuring Jack Uldrich

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) November 29, 2013

Following on the heels of successful keynote presentations at the Electronic Component Industry Association's annual meeting in Chicago in October and Avnet's Global Summit in Monterey in November, popular keynote speaker, renowned global futurist, technology forecaster and best-selling author, Jack Uldrich[1] has been selected to deliver the keynote talk at Digi-Key's Annual Global Business Development Meeting in Thief River Falls, MN on December 10th. The title of Uldrich's talk is "Why Future in Electronics Demand Unlearning."

The presentation, which is based on Uldrich’s two most recent books: "Foresight 20/20: A Futurist Explores the Trends Transforming Tomorrow[2]" and "Higher Unlearning: 39 Post Requisite Lessons for Achieving a Successful Future," will begin by discussing how continued advances in information technologies, 3D manufacturing, nanotechnology, robotics, radio frequency identification (RFID) technology, the "Internet of Things", Big Data, social networking and wearable technology will radically transform the field of electronics in the decade ahead. (An overview of some of Uldrich’s ideas can be found in this YouTube clip of his presentation, "Why Future Trends Demand Unlearning[3]", which recently aired on WFYI in Indianapolis.)

Uldrich will then focus on why these trends will demand unlearning and discuss why participants must embrace the concept of unlearning in order to achieve future success. Uldrich, who has been hailed as "America’s Chief Unlearning Officer," will conclude by reviewing specific habits, customs, beliefs and ideas that Digi-Key leaders can—and must—unlearn. Throughout his talk, he will use vivid analogies and memorable stories, drawn from a wide spectrum of industries, to ensure his message of unlearning "sticks" with his audiences.

In the past year, Uldrich has addressed hundreds of business groups around the world, including delivering customized keynote presentations to Eaton, Invensys, United Healthcare, Boston Scientific, Franklin Templeton, Optus, Bausch and Lomb, the European Association of International Educators and scores of other corporations, associations and organizations.
