After Successful 2013 Barcode Technology Summit, System ID Encourages Attendees to Take Action in Their Businesses

Plano, Texas (PRWEB) November 20, 2013

At a recent one-day conference, businesses that want to improve productivity and profits gained the information and insight they need while seeing technology solutions in action.

During the 2013 Barcode Technology Summit hosted by Plano-based System ID on Nov. 11, about 140 manufacturing, warehouse and logistics businesses from throughout the country learned about the latest barcode and RFID trends from pacesetters in the industry.

Now, these businesses are ready to head back to work and implement new ideas, with help from System ID and other vendor companies that attended the conference.

“Our partners at Motorola Solutions, Zebra Technologies and other industry-leading companies presented dozens of ideas that can help businesses improve performance,” said Tom O’Shea, president for System ID. “As plans are drawn up for the new year, we encourage summit attendees to reach out to System ID for assistance. We want to make their goals for 2014 a reality, whether they are working to automate manual procedures, scale their operations, or optimize their processes.”

Key speakers at the event went beyond the concept of using barcodes to simply capture data. For example, Jim Hilton, a manufacturing principal consultant at Motorola Solutions, discussed methods companies can use to access instant information for real-time decision-making. These included field-based mobile computing enhanced with GPS, telemetry imaging, document capture or wide-area connectivity.

In addition, Zebra Technologies’ Senior Business Development Manager Grant Miller addressed how companies are using new devices to significantly improve their supply chain operations, while also detailing new solutions Zebra has launched to manage devices via the Cloud.

“We hope that the summit opened up our customers to new thoughts and theories they can implement in their businesses,” said Paul Bowman, director of sales for System ID. “We have a team of consultative sales representatives who will listen to each customer’s specific challenge and help devise a solution that works. With more than 30 years of experience and knowledge, System ID can help guide companies in their efforts to efficiently and cost-effectively achieve their goals for 2014.”
