SK C&C Delivers Six Millionth NFC SIM

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) October 22, 2013

SK C&C, a global information and communication technology company and a leading mobile commerce service provider under the CorFire[1] brand, today announced the shipment of its six millionth Near Field Communication (NFC) SIM card.

SK C&C is one of the few SIM providers to have achieved necessary certifications suitable for large commercial deployments, and over three million mobile subscribers securely pay with their phones thanks to SK C&C SIM cards. “SK C&C brings an unmatched level of expertise in SIM cards to support our NFC services across our LTE network", said Mr. Cho, VP Smart Devices, SK Telecom.

Additionally, SK C&C also announced that its NFC SIMs are now available in the US market. “Since 2011, SK C&C has been shipping NFC SIMs customized to carrier requirements” said Jean-Louis Carrara, VP Smart Telecom Solutions, SK C&C USA, “We are excited to make these products available to the US markets.”

“SK C&C is one of the few SIM providers able to support large deployments with NFC SIM’s certified by the payment networks and MNO’s. NFC is pushing the boundaries of the SIM with more applications and certifications. Software and project delivery performance has now become a key aspect of delivering SIM cards, and this is playing directly on SK C&C’s natural competitive advantages,” says Will Stofega, IDC.
