Following Neville’s presentation, a panel discussion covered best practices and the components of a successful mobile implementation and deployment, touching on the themes of “BYOD” (bring your own device), mobile device management, and the importance of vendor partnerships.  The conference then split into two tracks, Warehouse Optimization and Beyond the Four Walls, featuring insight from Motorola, Descartes, Zebra, Apacheta, TrackAbout, Savant, Intellitrack and SOTI experts.  Topics covered ranged from utilizing RFID for traceability and trends in proof of delivery, to inventory accuracy and warehouse management systems, to mobile printing and cloud-based asset management.

Attendees also had a first-hand look at some of the latest mobile tablets, computers and printers during the Solutions Showcase held throughout the event. The final session of the day was an informal discussion, “RFID and the Future,” which encouraged audience participation in brainstorming forthcoming trends and innovations.
