AT&T Plans to Initiate Charter Mobile Bar Code Program

The company is targeting a variety of industries to explore if the application has the potential for success in several areas of business like retail, finance, hospitality, and consumer packaged goods. AT&T has partnered with Mobile Tag Inc. for the bar code scanning technology to offer the application. Users will be able to download the application onto their Android, BlackBerry, and Windows platform smart phones and use the built-in camera to scan 2D bar codes. The customers will have direct contact with AT&T to report problems and provide feedback for improvements or suggestions.
