Enhanced DataBar Scanners and Products from Honeywell

With the new point-of-sale push for GS1 DataBar™ implementation, Honeywell is making improvements to their product line of scanners. The Stratos 2400 series scanner has five sides and 360-degree bioptic scanning capabilities that allow it to read GS1 DataBar™ and other “high density bar codes.”  Enhancements to the hardware will give cashiers the chance to scan faster as well as move lines along quicker. This means the cashier can spend less time searching for the little sticker amidst the banana bundle or looking up a key code for produce, making retail services more efficient and the customer’s shopping experience more positive.
