RFID Catching More Scammers on the Slopes
At the Vail Resort in Colorado, a new wave of ski lift ticket scammers are getting left in the cold thanks to the use of RFID smart chip technology. This new process is not only catching fraudulent ticket holders and saving the resort money, but lift lines are moving at a much faster rate due to the scanning process. Skiers don't even need to show their passes since the RFID scanners do not require the tag to be seen in order to recognize the data.
