RFID Journal to Host Two Free Virtual Events

rfid trade show Zest 1One program will focus on using RFID and IoT technologies to improve inventory and warehouse management and the other will educate companies on how these technologies can improve food production and delivery.

RFID Journal, the world’s leading source of news and information about radio frequency identification and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, will host two virtual events in October. Both events are free to attend.

RFID and IoT for Inventory and Warehouse Management 2020 (https://www.rfidjournal.com/events/event/rfid-and-iot-for-inventory-and-warehouse-management-2020) will be held on Oct. 27, from 11 AM to 1:30 PM eastern, and will educate companies about how they can benefit from deploying RFID and IoT technologies within their warehouse. James Goodland, RAIN RFID Solutions Manager at NXP Semiconductors will be presenting a session entitled “The Warehouse is The Heart of Any Supply Chain– Learn How RAIN RFID Makes it More Powerful.”

Parcel shipments are increasing dramatically as more people shop online because of the global pandemic. Goodland will explain how RFID technology can help to make parcel handling faster, more cost-efficient and less prone to errors.

Ygal Bendavid, a professor at École des Sciences de la Gestion (ESG UQAM) in Montreal and an expert in RFID in the warehouse, will present other sessions focused on how RFID and IoT technologies can be set up and used in the warehouse. The program will focus on improving visibility of product movements and related transactions, as well as increasing efficiencies, lowering labor costs, optimizing inventory levels, tracking assets and differentiating logistic services to gain a competitive advantage.

Zebra Technologies is the Premier sponsor of the event and NXP is a gold sponsor.

RFID in the Food Chain 2020 (https://www.rfidjournal.com/events/event/rfid-in-the-food-chain-2020) will be held on Oct. 29, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. This virtual event is designed to educate growers, distributors of food and food products manufacturers, as well as systems integrators and other implementers, regarding the benefits of using RFID to track the location and monitor the temperature of food and beverages as they move through the supply chain. Hear about the current state of RFID technology, and learn how your organization can deploy the technology to achieve such benefits today. Attendees will also gain an understanding of the various applications of RFID and IoT technologies in the food industry (supply chain management, temperature monitoring of food and beverages) and how they are being used to improve food safety

Zebra Technologies and Avery Dennison are Platinum sponsors of this event.
