Internet of Things Developers Conference Announces Agenda and Keynotes

Leading Technical and Strategic Conference Covers Applications Ranging From Embedded to the Cloud

EL DORADO HILLS, CA and SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - Apr 9, 2015) - IoT Developers Conference, the only technical conference and exhibition focused on practical implementations of IoT technologies, today announced the online availability of its agenda, including details of the keynotes, technical sessions and panels that focus on IoT-related topics spanning security, services, data analytics, connectivity, interoperability, makers of things, and edge-node design. The conference and exhibition takes place May 6-7, 2015 in Santa Clara, Calif., at the Hyatt Regency. Also, IoT DevCon[1] once again joins forces with the Multicore DevCon[2], which includes two days of technical training and hands-on demonstrations. Both events offer a welcoming and constructive environment for attendee networking.

Keynotes for the 2nd annual IoT DevCon include the following:

"Accelerating Business Value and Outcomes with Data and Analytics[3]," presented by Mala Anand, Senior Vice President of Cisco Services Platforms Group. Mala will discuss the Internet of Everything (IoE) and how to demystify big data and analytics and turn the opportunity into revenue.

"Securing the Internet of Things: From Node to Cloud[4]," presented by Tareq Bustami, Vice President Product Management for Digital Networking at Freescale Semiconductor. Tareq will discuss the multi-faceted issue of ensuring security of IoT applications, encompassing platform trust, access control, and data security in systems spanning cloud data centers, networking processors and sub-$1 nodes.

"Designing for IoT: 5 Elements of Innovation for Success[5]," presented by Andrew Thompson, Vice President of Segment Marketing at Imagination Technologies. In this keynote, Andrew will discuss key areas for innovation in the design of the next generation of IoT devices, looking at where industry must innovate to drive adoption, and where companies can innovate to create their own differentiation.

"Accelerating Solutions for IoT[6]," presented by Ali Sebt, President, Renesas Electronics America. In his keynote, Ali will discuss how forward-thinking semiconductor vendors can better serve IoT customers by simplifying the design process to help them develop unique, connected applications that capitalize on the IoT economy.

"The IoT DevCon opens with these tremendously interesting keynotes aimed at some of the most significant aspects of IoT development. These keynotes will provide sound business and technical advice for all attendees ranging from engineers/programmers to executives and senior management," said Markus Levy, IoT DevCon chair[7]. "Furthermore, these keynotes are just the tip of the iceberg for the strategic and technical sessions, panel discussions, hands-on exhibits and poster sessions taking place at the IoT DevCon."

Demonstrating their dedication to IoT Technology, 2015 sponsors include Platinum sponsors -- Freescale, Imagination Technologies, and Wind River; Gold sponsors -- Microchip and Renesas, Silver sponsors -- Andes Technology, Green Hills Software, Grid Connect, Mentor Graphics, Qualcomm, RTI, and Teledyne LeCroy; and Bronze sponsors -- CEVA, Dream Factory, Ellisys, Infineon, Sequans, and STMicro. Accentuating the explosion growth in IoT investment and interest, the nearly sold out conference exhibition includes exhibits from almost 50 companies and organizations, close to double the number of the 2014 IoT DevCon.

Complete two-day attendance to keynotes, conference sessions, exhibits, lunch and reception is only $95 through April 10; April 11th-April 24th-$295; April 25th-May 6th: $495. One-day conference pass after May 6th is $295. Paid attendance includes VIP seating.
