3DLT Brings 3D Printed Domo® Products to Market | PRLog
Limited Edition 3D Printed Santa Domo Ornament
“We’re very excited to launch the licensing arm of our business with Big Tent Entertainment, NHK and Domo,” says 3DLT CEO, John Hauer. “We see licensing as one of 3D printing’s ‘killer apps’ and believe our platform gives brand partners a significant competitive advantage in capitalizing on that opportunity.”
Starting today, Domo® inspired, 3D printable products will be made available on the brand’s social media sites and in select retail outlets. The first product to be offered is a Domo® themed Holiday ornament.
For a limited time, fans can view and purchase the Domo® Holiday ornament at - http://3dlt.com/domo-santa.html
“Domo has always been a fan-driven brand, loved by those who like to experience the character in their own personalized way,” said Rich Maryyanek, Partner and CMO Big Tent Entertainment. “This is the perfect way for the Domo fan to celebrate the holidays.”
3DLT will continue to build on its relationship with the Domo Production Committee by designing other Domo® branded products in multiple categories. Those products will be offered through 3DLT’s retail partners, which include some of the world’s top eCommerce platforms.
“Ours is a global business,” says Hauer. “We crowdsource designs from all over the world. It seems fitting that our first license has such international appeal. As we roll-out with Domo® and other licensed properties, we’ll tap into that network, giving designers a new way to connect with an army of ravenous fans.”
ABOUT DOMO®
“Domo-kun” was created on December 22, 1998 as the character to
mark the 10th anniversary of the start of a broadcasting satellite
service by Japan Broadcasting Corporation (NHK). “Domo-kun” soon
became popular among all age groups because of the warmth of images
created using the “stop-motion animation” technique, in which every
frame was created by hand. In 2004, “Domo-kun” became popular as
the NHK character as well as BS character. In 2005, “Domo-kun” was
the first Japanese cartoon program to be broadcast on Nickelodeon.
Since then “Domo-kun” programs have been broadcast in more than 170
